Production of the visual materials that accompany the launch of a brand or new product is one of the most important processes in branding / marketing. It is an expensive and lengthy process that requires careful planning and meticulous execution.

Throughout my career as an Art Director, as a Creative Director and as a Marketing Director, I have been involved extensively in the development and production of visual materials. Whether it was product photos or of models in the studio, or photos in various locations outside the studio. On the page in front of you I have chosen to present a number of examples - mainly from recent years.

 

My personal process always begins with the characterization of the problem or the marketing / branding need that I want to solve. From there I will research competitors, prepare preliminary sketches and create a number of alternate directions. After selecting the direction I'm going to take, I will build a detailed plan that we will strive to produce. From there we will proceed to select the photographer, models or actors (if any), find a location, decide about styling, clothing, hair stylist, art people and others, all depending on the need and budget.

On the actual shooting day I will oversee the whole process to make sure that everything we planned will indeed happen, and then I will make sure we successfully complete the preparation of all materials.
